The Eden Prairie Police are looking for information as to the “suspicious incident” that occurred Tuesday afternoon Feb. 26 at Eden Prairie High School and resulted in the school closing the following day.

At the time of the incident, police referred to it as an “alleged threat.”

“Amy Fogarty of Eden Prairie will graduate with honors from the Kirov Ballet Academy of Washington, D.C., on Saturday, May 24, 2008 at their 11 a.m. ceremonies. That evening, she will perform at the Kirov for the last time,” according to a news release.

This Friday, approximately 800 first-grade students in Eden Prairie will receive their own hardcover book to keep as part of the fourth annual Eden Prairie Noon Rotary Club “My Book Day” event. But, “My Book Day” goes beyond just handing out books – ultimately students will find they have an entire morning of activities and experiences that reinforce the fun side of reading.

This year, the Eden Prairie High School Knowledge Bowl Team netted its first state championship in April. Many of the team members were also part of the championship-winning Quiz Bowl Team. KB Team members included Sam Daub, Anant Shah, Steven Shonts and Michael Wright..

Allen R. "Mike" Frischkorn is the new executive director of the Foundation for Eden Prairie Schools.
The Eden Prairie resident was hired for his extensive experience in fundraising and government relations, most recently as executive director of the National Association of Towns and Townships.
That work brought him to Minnesota, he said.
The association sent him to Duluth for a conference, where he was seated beside current wife Monica.

The International School of Minnesota broke ground last Wednesday on a new 12,000-square-foot addition at the school’s 55-acre Eden Prairie campus.
The campus, at the southeast corner of Highway 494 and 62 on Bryant Lake, is part of the SABIS School Network, "established in 1886 with 50 schools in 15 countries and over 40,000 students."
"Consistently increasing enrollment and corporate growth has spawned this addition," said Head of Admissions and Marketing Christine Brinkman. ISM has been in Eden Prairie for more than 20 years.
