Recently re-elected State Senator David Hann has been elected Assistant Minority Leader by his fellow Republicans in the Minnesota Senate.
Hann, representing Eden Prairie and parts of Minnetonka in District 42, “will serve as an advisor to the caucus leader and oversee all aspects of caucus operations, from personnel management to political strategy,” according to a news release from his office.
“I am honored by the vote of confidence by my fellow Senators to be elected to this important position,” said Hann in the release. “I look forward to serving as an Assistant Minority Leader and I will use this position to enhance the representation of my constituents. The next four years will be an opportunity to build a consensus of bi-partisanship among the Senators to get real solutions accomplished for my constituents and the citizens of Minnesota.”
Over at the House, it looks like Rep. Erik Paulsen will not be leading the Republicans. Instead, according to today's Star Tribune, that position went to Rep. Marty Seifert of Marshall.
