BIRCH ISLAND WOODS SPRING CLEAN UP – Start Earth Day Week beginning at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, April 19, by picking up a winter’s worth of litter along the trails and perimeter of Birch Island Woods Conservation Area. This rain or shine event is enjoyable for kids with adult supervision and all others. PET ADOPTION – Volunteers from the Carver Scott Humane Society will hold a pet adoption from noon to 3 p.m. April 19 at PETCO, in Eden Prairie. PETCO is off of Singletree Lane, between Prairie Center Drive and Highway 212. CSHS is without its own building and all pets are housed in foster care. Dogs, rabbits, kittens and cats will be available. All cats and dogs have been micro ID implanted, vet checked, wormed, had shots updated, checked for friendly temperaments and age-appropriately spayed/neutered.
