KIDS’ STUFF SALE – The sale is set for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 19, at the Eden Prairie High School Gym. It is sponsored by Eden Prairie Schools, Community Education, Partners Preschool and Spanish Preschool. For more information, call 952-975-6900.

 

CITY PARK CLEANUP DAY – From 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 19, residents are invited to help clean up locations throughout Eden Prairie. “Make it a family service project or grab a group of neighborhood friends and do your part to help keep the parks and trails of Eden Prairie clean,” according to a news release. POTTING PARTY AT PICHA FARM – “Spring fever and dirt therapy mix it up” at 105-year-old Picha Heritage Farm from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, April 19, according to a news release. Volunteers are needed to pot bare root shrubs and trees for the Birch Island Woods Plant Sale, a 10-day long benefit in May. This rain or shine event is suitable for kids 9 years and older and adults. Dress for garden work; bring gloves, shovels and smiles. BIRCH ISLAND WOODS SPRING CLEAN UP – Start Earth Day Week beginning at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, April 19, by picking up a winter’s worth of litter along the trails and perimeter of Birch Island Woods Conservation Area. This rain or shine event is enjoyable for kids with adult supervision and all others. You’ll be joined by choirs of spring peeper frogs, migratory birds and resident woodpeckers, according to a news release. Trash bags and maps are available from 8:30 a.m. at the Picha Heritage Farm gate on Birch Island Road Between Edenvale Boulevard and Kurtz Lane. PET ADOPTION – Volunteers from the Carver Scott Humane Society will hold a pet adoption from noon to 3 p.m. April 19 at PETCO, in Eden Prairie. PETCO is off of Singletree Lane, between Prairie Center Drive and Highway 212. CSHS is without its own building and all pets are housed in foster care. Dogs, rabbits, kittens and cats will be available. All cats and dogs have been micro ID implanted, vet checked, wormed, had shots updated, checked for friendly temperaments and age-appropriately spayed/neutered. PANCAKE BREAKFAST – The Eden Prairie Lions Club Pancake Breakfast is set for 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, April 20, at Camp Edenwood in northwest Eden Prairie off Indian Chief Road.
