A Click Away: Community Center fees

Fees for the yearly household rate on the new Eden Prairie Community Center will go from $265 to $924 next year. The new building will include almost four times the amount of space for the workout facility along with the new gym. Here’s some information about how EP stacks up against other suburbs. 2007 membership fees 2008 membership fees* $265 $924 Other Community Fitness Center Fees Chaska Community Center: $374 ($774 with access to free childcare and free group fitness classes) Eagan Fitness Center: $1,032 (includes fitness facilities, track, gym) Inver Grove Heights: $948 (includes fitness facilities, pool, gym, rink, group fitness, track) Maple Grove Community Center: $330 (does not include access to fitness equipment) Minnetonka’s Williston Fitness Center: $630 (includes fitness equipment, access to pool and gym) Shakopee Community Center: $240 (includes fitness equipment, gym, open skate and swim) Other fitness center fees: YMCA rates for metro: $1236 a year ($103 a month) Lifetime Fitness: $2388 a year ($199 a month for a family with kids over age 12)
*Fees are yearly household rates for residents
