Stu Bickel, a 21-year-old who just finished his freshman year playing hockey for the University of Minnesota, signed a two-way deal with the NHL’s Anaheim Ducks.

His pro career is likely to start in the AHL.

Bickel played high school hockey at Minnetonka and Eden Prairie. After graduating from Eden Prairie High School and prior to playing for the Gophers, he played for the Sioux Falls Stampede of the UHL.
