The following incidents were reported by the Eden Prairie Police Department: BURGLARY Sometime between 2 a.m. and 2:15 a.m. on May 11, someone broke into the Checker Auto on 8270 Flying Cloud Drive. The front glass door was smashed, causing $500 in damage and a $2,000 cash register was also damaged. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken. Between 4:10 and 4:19 on May 11, someone also broke into the BP Amoco near Highway 62 and left a shattered front door and office window. Nothing was stolen but $1000 in damage was done to the windows. Between 11:30 p.m. May 24 and 9 a.m. May 25, someone stole two golf bags and clubs from a garage on the 10000 block of Mead Lane. The total value of the stolen property was $5,000. At 6 p.m. June 2, someone arrived home and spotted a teenager running out of his garage with golf clubs. The victim tried to follow the suspect in their vehicle but eventually stopped. Golf clubs and a bag were stolen, totaling $1,350. THEFT and DAMAGE Between 8:15 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. on June 2, someone broke the basement window of a residence on the 9000 block of Lawson Lane. About $1,500 in damage was done to the window.
