At 10 p.m. Oct. 27, on the 16000 block of Westgate Lane, a resident interrupted a burglary and tried to nab the suspect by grabbing him from his escape vehicle.
The incident started when the resident went inside briefly and left his garage door open. The man returned and interupted another man who had gotten into the garage. When discovered, this suspect ran to a waiting vehicle and yelled at the driver to go. However, the resident attempted to grab the suspect from the passenger seat and ended getting hung up to and stuck to the car as it drove off. He was dragged for a tenth of a mile and yelled at the driver to stop. The driver stopped, the pursuer rolled and the suspects drove away with nothing stolen. The resident did not need medical attention.
