According to a news release from the Department of Public Safety, April Operation NightCAP (nighttime concentrated alcohol patrol) campaigns resulted in 132 DWI arrests, 98 in the Twin Cities metro.
"Participating officers stopped more than 2,326 vehicles and cited more than 725 drivers for traffic- and equipment-related violations," the release said.
Patrols target the 15 deadliest counties for impaired driving, the release said, which includes Hennepin County.
The Eden Prairie Police Department participates in the effort, funded by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and coordinated by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety Office of Traffic Safety.
