It’s been almost two months since the Eden Prairie (A.M.) Rotary Club held its largest annual fund-raiser, the wine-tasting and auction called Vino Classico: Eden Prairie Uncorked.
A wrap-up of that community event is way, way overdue.

Our Oct. 13 event at the Eden Prairie Life Time Fitness Club (formerly Flagship) attracted more than 300 persons and raised nearly $14,000 after expenses were taken into account.
That’s a lot of money for the club’s service efforts. Locally that means student scholarships, donations to groups like the ABC Foundation, sponsorship of the Golden Eagle and Above & Beyond awards program, and much more. Internationally, the money will help fund the club’s Honduran Safe Water Project, Rotary’s polio eradication efforts and other noteworthy endeavors.
If you were among the hundreds who attended our annual fall event, thanks! We loved having you, and we’d welcome your suggestions on how to improve Vino Classico. Simply leave a comment for us below.
We hope that those of you who were not able to make our Oct. 13 fund-raiser will consider attending in fall 2008.
(Rotary Rooter focuses on the activities of the Eden Prairie A.M. Rotary Club, which meets at 7:30 a.m. Tuesdays at the Biaggi's restaurant at Eden Prairie Shopping Center. Guests are welcome. You can learn more about the club by visiting www.epamrotary.)
