These are some of the more interesting names of wines that will be available at the fourth annual “Vino Classico: Eden Prairie Uncorked” wine-tasting and art auction from 6:30-9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Eden Prairie Life Time Fitness Athletic Club (formerly Flagship).

The event is a fund-raiser organized by the Eden Prairie (A.M.) Rotary Club, which uses the proceeds to fund its many local and global endeavors, whether it’s scholarships for Eden Prairie High School students or safe drinking water for Honduran villagers.

About 115 wines will be available for sampling at the event, as will food from Biaggi’s and Outback Steakhouse restaurants as well as Kowalski’s grocery store. Patrons may order bottles of the wine at special prices.

Non-alcoholic drink mixes, brews and sodas will also be available at the event.

Tickets are $35 in advance and may be purchased at any of the three stores operated by Eden Prairie Liquor, a major sponsor of the event, or from Rotary Club members. You can also call the Vino Classico hotline at (952) 345-6486 and leave a message.

Tickets will be sold at the door for $45.
