Walking Spirits

No votes yet

I have been aware for some time now about these spirits. What has prompted me writing about them is some of the articles I have been reading about them. They do not call these poor souls Walking Spirits, they are called “Tramp Souls or Spirits” “Vagabond Spirits” “Restless Spirits” and other not so nice names.

I prefer to call them “Walking Spirits” The American Indians knew about these spirits for centuries. These are spirits that have chosen not to cross over at the time they needed to for what ever reason and wonder the world.

I often wondered what happens to the spirit when they have been evicted from their home by a priest or by other means. These souls are not told how to cross to the other side. Just that they are not welcomed any more in the house that they had call their home and they are evicted.

When I read the articles about these wondering souls I was disturbed to find that they are labeled as murderers, evil, derelicts, and other low life. This may be true for some after all they were human at one time and we all know that there are good and bad in all people and some of the humans can be quite evil. I have found that these Walking Spirits these souls are just lost and they could be children as well as adults. It is unclear as to why so many children’s souls still walk this earth. It is known that during the late 1800’s hundreds and thousands of children had died in orphanages. These unwanted children drank milk that was contaminated by formaldehyde. They used this chemical to preserve milk before pasteurization. But why they roam the earth or still hang around the orphanages is unclear. Some speculate that it is because they have not had a proper burial and were just thrown in mass nameless graves.

Some of these spirits do not want to cross over and is hanging on to this world still trying to experience life in some form. We experienced this in a case up in Minnetonka, a young man did not want to cross over and was hanging around a person’s home. I explained to the soul that I understand that he loved life so much, but by staying here he is cheating himself of being able to come back once again. I told him that as God recycles the world, such as rock becomes sand; sand becomes stone, and stone once again becomes sand. God also allows us to come back and experience different levels and situations of life. He said that he did not know that and was willing to cross over. As Linda opened the door for him to cross over, she found other spirits also entering into the light.

Let me be clear here that I am not saying that there are no bad spirits wondering around. I am sure that there are. In Mayor there was one, but I believed that that was more of an entity other then a human spirit. In Shakopee, there was one spirit that fell in love with the owner of the house and didn’t want her to leave. He wanted her to “help me come back” On my evps I can hear him tell her that he loved her. In all my years of ghost hunting this was my first experience with a potentially dangerous situation. This spirit had to be removed. The owner said she did have a priest come over but I have not been able to contact her to find out how she is doing since then. My hopes are that all is well.

When I realized the number of Walking Spirits that are around I did some research and found a method to help these spirits cross over. The method had worked to help the spirit cross over when they were ready to do so. With the addition of Linda, the team physic, we are able to open the door for them to cross over right away. We call this “Spirit Rescue”. Now when we go to a location if we do find that a spirit is there we will ask the owners if they would like us to help the spirit move on. Not all clients want the spirit to move on. They feel that the spirits were there first and it is their home as much as the spirits and are willing to share. With that in mind, I tell the spirits that they are welcomed to share the house hold as long as they do not disturb the living, however, if they do want to cross over I do inform the spirits where they can find the light to be able to cross over.

I have been asked if I feel responsible for helping the spirits to cross over. At first I said no but I quickly changed my mind on this. When I get on my evps some poor soul asking for help who else is there to help them? How when the day comes and I have to face my maker and he asks me, Kathy, you heard my children cry out for help, and you knew how to guide them to the light, why didn’t you do so?

Even in death we have free will, we have the choice to linger here on earth or to go to the light. We cannot force any soul into the light; it is still their choice to go.

I have been updating my web site and still have a bit more to do on it. But if you would like to know more about spirits, hauntings and some of my cases that I had worked on, my web site is

I have put a photo of spirits I found in St Paul’s Cathedral. I believe these spirits were there looking for the light to help them cross over.
