The following video of the EP Eagles 2008 State Dance Team Tournament performance is by "chanelist."
As you can see from the photo, my son Charlie did not enjoy his visit to Santa on Thursday.
I’ve been seeing several photo galleries of children who seem to feel it is OK to pout, and even cry, not only in general – but also in the very presence of Santa – this holiday season. Charlie seemed happy enough, until my husband sat him on Santa’s lap.
The following YouTube video, "Hansel and Gretel by EP Players," is by "dishaba." It features a summer 2007 performance.
This week's YouTube video of the week comes from "epsafari." It's titled "EP goes to State in '08" and it features the cross country teams.
This week, I'd like to link to Father Tim Power's last column for us here.
In addition, here's Rev. Michael Miller's first Spiritually Speaking column here.
New Generation EP columnist Sam Daub can be found here.
The following video by EPHSB shows the Eden Eden Prairie Eagle Marching Band at Champlin.
The following is on page 26 of this week's Eden Prairie News, in our "Looking back" section:
"The Nov. 13, 1975, issue of the Eden Prairie News reported that “Ring Road” would now be named “Schooner Boulevard.”
“Nobody on the City Council was pleased with the name ‘Ring Road,’ the partially completed major street which is planned to encircle an industrial-commercial complex at the highways 169-494 intersection.
My sister who lives in North Dakota tells me that over the weekend she played a game that was surprisingly fun.
She and a group of friends at a party, stood around a stump and took turns pounding nails into it. Whoever pounded their nail in first was the winner.
That's it.
Wikipedia outlines the ingredients for "The Stump Game" thusly (although their version is more of a drinking game):
* 1 Hammer
* 1 Tree stump or flat portion of tree trunk
* 1 2.5" - 3" Nail per player
* Beer
Wikipedia includes "surprisingly" extensive rules. Take a look:
I received a message this week from an online reader who found one of John Mallo's columns on our Web site about Eden Prairie's McClay family, which lost sons in the Civil War and World War I.

She said that she had been researching her family history at www.myfamily.com and another family member had posted the article there.
The following is a video posted by "schoolofrockmn." It's titled "Eden Prairie School of Rock KISS Dress Rehearsal."
