To raise funds for breast cancer research, July 10 is Tough Enough to Wear Pink night at the Hamel Rodeo. Fans are asked to join in by wearing pink to show their support of the fight to end breast cancer.
For every person at the rodeo on July 10, $1 will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer Research. The rodeo will be held at Corcoran Lions Park, three miles north of Hamel at the junction of County Road 10 and Highway 101.
The Hamel Lions’ Club will host a “pink booth” at the rodeo, including a silent auction, door prize drawings and pink merchandise for sale. The pink booth will be open for all rodeo performances, and proceeds will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Last year, $8,000 was donated from Tough Enough to Wear Pink activities. Organizer Tim Farrell said, “Our first year was a huge success and we anticipate larger crowds and more participation at this yearly event.”
Help fight breast cancer by wearing pink to the rodeo on July 10. Tickets are available at the gate or online at www.hamelrodeo.org. To contribute to the cause, contact Farrell at (763) 479-6988 or tfarrell@premier-dental.com.
