pThe committee assigned by the Jordan School Board to make recommendations for district budget cuts met for the last time Monday evening and settled on a list of cuts totaling more than $360,000. That's almost where committee members hoped to be. At the beginning of the meeting, superintendent Kirk Nelson said the reduction goal was $400,000./p
pAfter ranking all suggested items A-D, A bearing the highest recommendation to cut and D bearing the recommendation to remove the item from consideration, the following items will be presented on the A list:/p

pI was recently at a Subway with my wife and we heard a conversation between the manager and a twent-teen who worked for him. The manager was informing the girl that he could make her work in any manner he wanted due to the economy being as bad as it is. The girl who was obviously upset stated that there were no jobs available and to this the manager added there were also no shifts available as all employees were working their shifts. I get sickened when I see abuses like this occur./p
