p(Photo by Richard Crawford) More than 600 brave souls took the plung during the 19th annual ALARC ice dive into Lake Minnetonka Jan. 1. Divers came from coast to coast, including five from Alabama. Canada, England, Iran, Jamaica, and many foreign exchange students from all over the world are expected to jump. Last years’ World Record could fall; 679 jumpers took the plunge in 2008. The annual dive took place at the BayView Event Center of Excelsior. pA 19-year-old Hutchinson man has been charged in McLeod County District Court in connection with the alleged Dec. 26 burglary of his parents’ Hutchinson home, according to the Hutchinson Leader./p p Joseph J. Andrus allegedly lured his parents to travel to Chanhassen for dinner, and then while they were gone, he allegedly broken into the house and stole a .22-caliber rifle, jewelry, cash, checks and a 2005 Dodge Neon. An estimated $600 damage was done to the home.
